- FHA: 580 minimum (3.5% down) or 500 (10% down)
- VA: no VA minimum (most lenders require 580-620)
- USDA: no USDA minimum (most lenders require 640)
- Conventional: 620 minimum (best rates at 740+)
- Jumbo: 700+ (some programs 680)
- Non-QM (bank statement): 620 minimum
- DSCR: 660 minimum (some at 640)
- ITIN: alternative credit accepted (no traditional score required)
- Higher scores = lower rates = lower monthly payment
- Mortgage lenders use the middle of your three bureau FICO scores
