  • FHA: 580 minimum (3.5% down) or 500 (10% down)
  • VA: no VA minimum (most lenders require 580-620)
  • USDA: no USDA minimum (most lenders require 640)
  • Conventional: 620 minimum (best rates at 740+)
  • Jumbo: 700+ (some programs 680)
  • Non-QM (bank statement): 620 minimum
  • DSCR: 660 minimum (some at 640)
  • ITIN: alternative credit accepted (no traditional score required)
  • Higher scores = lower rates = lower monthly payment
  • Mortgage lenders use the middle of your three bureau FICO scores
